1. We stumbled across spectacle makers Cubitts of King’s Cross while listening to the Monocle podcast. Their love of craftsmanship shone through (anyone who can get that geeky about creating the perfect barrel hinge & pin combination is a hero in our eyes) so up they went on the pinboard.

2. Friend of Just Got Made Matt Sewell has a beautiful new book out, filled with his charming illustrations. Discover birdlife from bramble picking Blue Tits to a parliment of young Tawny Owls in ‘Our Woodland Birds: a nature lover’s guide’ .

3. Print All Over Me are pioneering the tech driven ‘personalised fashion’ trend. And they’re great at it. Create your own printed clothing by picking a garment shape & uploading your artwork. AMAZING! Our favourite silhouette of the minute: KIMONO.

4. Fire up the blow torch! Artist-run London Sculpture Workshop have released dates for their 2014 summer school. Topics include pewter casting, welding for artists and specialist mould making.

5. The RSA have announced a new study titled ‘The Power of Small’; investigating the rise in numbers of  microbusinesses & self employment in the UK and its future impact. No prizes for guessing that the Maker Community feature strongly in these numbers.

7. A fresh wave of graduates are about to embrace the world of design, many deciding to strike out alone (go for it!). This article on the highs and lows of setting up a home studio space is useful and funny.
