Sunday 11.30-13.00 Tracey Clarke, The Crafts Council’s Talent Development Programme

In this session Tracey will be discussing “Growing your Business Vision” .

Tracey Clarke is one of the Talent Development managers at Crafts Council; she leads on the development and delivery of “Injection” a business development scheme for mid- career and established makers that now includes the new element of the programme “Becoming a Confident employer”. During the remainder of her working week Tracey is Development Director for NN Contemporary Arts, an independent contemporary visual arts charity based in Northampton. She has worked within the craft and arts sector for over 28 years and has a wide range of experience gained within both  public and third sector organisations for the delivery of strategic business management, finance / external funding, arts, exhibition and education programmes alongside studio and venue management.

Sunday 14.00-15.30 Sinead Koehler, Crafty Fox Market

In this session, Sinead will be discussing “How to be a superstar seller at markets!” ; including preparing for market day, making the most of your display and opportunities beyond selling.

Sinead Koehler established Crafty Fox Markets in 2010, which take place seasonally across London, showcasing a hand-picked selection of products by emerging designer-makers and artists. These popular events are hosted in atmospheric venues and include a bar, DJs and creative workshops alongside the stalls. A vibrant creative community is at the heart of the markets, with support schemes for new makers, regular meetups and talks for designer/makers.

Sunday 09.30 – 11.00 Makers and Manufacturers Network Building Breakfast with Design-Nation (ticket req.)

An informal and fun way for designers and makers to meet with micro-manufacturers, workshops and other makers from London, and get their making questions answered. We will start with a light buffet breakfast and plenty of coffee, followed by an hour of light-hearted ‘speed dating’ , guaranteed to get you skill swopping in no time. Come and join us for chat, collaboration and bagels!

In this session Helen will be discussing ” How to get your ideas out of your head and into the world!” .

Just Got Made are launching a teaching and consultancy strand, specifically designed to tackle the challenges small design studios and individuals face when turning their ideas into real products and running a creative small business! In this session, join Just Got Made founder Helen as she shares her knowledge and experience from seven years as a producer and runs through how to plan to perfection, and achieve success on that all important ‘critical path’ when creating a design product.
