Moon Studio Ceramics

small batch ceramics made in Dorset

Imogen is a ceramicist and arts educator based in rural Dorset. Moon Studio Ceramics was founded in 2015 and just last year she built a studio in a barn near Christchurch. From here Imogen teaches regular classes to adults and children, as well as making her own work. Pieces are handmade using porcelain and earthenware clays to slipcast vessel forms. She also makes a series of porcelain necklaces.

Imogen can offer small batch production of slipcast or handbuilt ceramics and can work with you from the design concept stage through to finished product.

Sustainability is very important, so the studio runs off of a renewable electricity supplier.  To minimize waste, all clay scraps are reclaimed and reused, and packaging repurposed or recycled as much as possible. We use natural bar soaps and cleaning products that are as sustainable as possible. The studio has been awarded plastic-free status by Surfers Against Sewage and aim to encourage this mindset for any events booked at the studio.
