Frances Heap & Maria Luisa Olmos are a creative costuming partnership.

They specialise in devising innovative costumes for contemporary dance, music projects, visual arts events and multi media/disciplinary performances, usually in non traditional locations.

Core to the Costumologists is developing the role and potential of costume as a vehicle for exploring the way we represent ourselves and creating alternative representations. We engage with other disciplines, art forms and technologies, often we look to repurposing “everyday” materials to explore the possibilities of costume once situated within a wider context.
