MadLab is a creative community space and feral research organisation, and is home to over 50 groups – from Arduino and Raspberry Pi, to DSLR photography and the Manchester Space Programme, ‘Makers in Space’ (supported by the UK Space Agency). With over 15 000 annual users, it is one of the largest makerspaces in the UK.

MadLab works on community projects with organisations including the BBC, the Science Museum Group, the RSA, Ideas Foundation, Comino, Wellcome Trust, the FBI and the University of Leeds. The course programme features courses from WordPress to Taxidermy, led by internationally-recognised names, such as Mike Little the co-founder of WordPress.
